Love and Money's fourth album, Littledeath (1993) was released independently on Iona Gold records and featured the single, Last Ship on the River. Love and Money has/had nothing to do with Hipsway. While I enjoy the fun of Hipsway, L&M were almost always far deeper. James Grant is not only a lyrical genius, but a musical genius as well. One who marries the two is far and few between. They have done some reuniting shows. However they seem to be limited to Scottish concerts, sadly. Love and Money did not come after Hipsway. They started off as a band called Friends Again. Common denominator being James Grant. They are far superior than Hipsway as their songwriting shows. Sadly their last tour was around 1994 I remember seeing them perform in the Glasgow Barrowland sitting with the other heavily pregnant ladies. it's a marvelous band. congratulations for the post.
I'm still running, looking for Angeline. I bathed in shallow, wishing waters Till I was caught in a riptide Tangled up in the chains of old mines and driftwood I saw the light like a solitary star and reached for it But I was to be drawn deeper Drawn deeper. Looking for Angeline Looking for Angeline Looking for Angeline Angeline. When I came back I'd no idea how long I had been gone Things you lose are never really lost, battles never really won I look at all these war-worn, sad-eyed men And I know I'm no worse off than them We're all out there, looking for Angeline.
