Money, greed and constant fear The smell of death is everywhere Got you frozen in your track And rolling over on your back. You know me, devil inside You know me godless and wild You know me, to each his own But they just won't leave you alone. ing Princes of the world Black angels of the herd Part of the system No way we ain't We are serpent saints. The little bit of you that got away. Reason lasts but for a while Kill like it's going out of style And with a price upon her head Your mother starts to kook like bread. Living and dying We are serpent saints Cheating and lying We are serpent saints Killing and crying We are serpent saints There's no denying We are serpent saints. Guests vocals: Killjoy of Necrophagia).

Serpent Saints: The Ten Amendments is the ninth album by Swedish death metal band Entombed, and their last one before their two-year break up from 2014-2016. It is the first album with bassist Nico Elgstrand and drummer Olle Dahlstedt, as well as the band's first without longtime guitarist Uffe Cederlund. It was released in June 2007.

Serpent Saints" does a few things Entombed either hasn't done in a while, or just never did before. From the first song you'll hear faint keyboards, a harmonized solo and what are successful death metal guitar riffs. L-G Petrov isn't doing a cheesy bellow this time around, he's yelling in a decidedly low tone while throwing in higher pitched layered vocals as well as some almost gang shouted vocal parts. On this album we can also find some keyboards parts and I believe that Entombed tried them to fill the sound with gloom elements. A sound that is not exceptional and I’m talking about Warfare, Plague, Famine, Death for example. The tempo is boring in a song like In The Blood and it’s similar to a tired Godzilla trying to crawl on a field.

Serpent Saints is Entombed's first studio album in four long years, yet it's remarkably similar to its predecessor, Inferno (2003), not only in terms of sound but also style, as if it were recorded at the very same session. In fact, all of Entombed's 2000s albums - Uprising (2000), Morning Star (2002), Inferno (2003), and even the live album Unreal Estate (2005) - are remarkably similar, unlike the band's 1990s albums, which are a diverse bunch
