An Intimate Evening with Emerson Lake. Опубликовано: 25 сент. 2010 г. Performance at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Arizona on Thursday 22nd April 2010.

Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, two-thirds of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, have released 'Live From Manticore Hall,' a 10-track live album recorded during the duo's 2010 world tour. The record contains some of ELP's best-loved songs including 'Lucky Man,' 'From the Beginning,' and 'Tarkus. ‘Live From Manticore Hall’ is an introspective revisit to some of the music of ELP," Emerson said in a press release. I think Greg and I gave it a personal touch with our Q&A sessions midway through the show.

And then the 2010 Emerson and Lake Tour got off to a shaky start when four of the first five shows were abruptly postponed. A whole bunch of ELP fans were chomping at the bit with NYC’s Nokia Theatre show sold out. But the performance, only their second one, went on without a hitch and I was there with the brethren to soak it up. The ornate staging, made to look like the inside of a recording studio, had Emerson and Lake’s soundman at the ready behind a faux studio wall as we were ‘welcomed back’ to Manticore Hall. Lake sat on a stool, stage left, strumming his six-string; Emerson was stage.

Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 1944 – 11 March 2016) was an English musician and composer. He played keyboards in a number of bands before finding his first commercial success with the Nice in the late 1960s. He reunited with ELP bandmate Greg Lake in 2010 for a duo tour, culminating in a one-off ELP reunion show in London to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary. Emerson's last album, The Three Fates Project, was released in 2012. Emerson reportedly suffered from depression, and in his later years developed nerve damage that hampered his playing, making him anxious about upcoming performances.
