She’s A Rainbow by The Rolling Stones Composers: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards Lyrics: She comes in colours ev’ry where She combs her hair. Have you seen the lady fairer? She comes in colors ev’ry where; she combs her hair. She’s like a rainbow, coming, colors in the air. Oh, ev’ry where she comes in colors. Ooh, wah wah la la la. Have you seen her all in gold like a queen in days of old? She shoots colors all around like a sunset going down. Oh, ev’ry where she comes in colors

I have been over the rainbow, and I found nothing there. But very thin air. I have looked under my shadow and seen a silver light. That guide in the night. Nothing and no one, protecting me. One million mirrors, reflecting me. All over the sky, but where am I? I have been over the rainbow, but now where will I go? Doesn't anyone know? Doesn't anyone know? Doesn't anyone know? After almost four years out of the spotlight, the kooky singer is officially ready to take over the charts. For a time it looked like the star may never release an album again. Her ongoing lawsuit against superstar producer Dr. Luke left her shunned and gagged in an industry where being seen out on the scene is so important. I am really happy to say this is Rainbow, my album," she told the small room. I really feel like this is the rainbow, the s storm is over. This is the beginning of the good stuff.

The rainbow is a smooth sequence of all the possible primary colours - colours representable by a single frequency of light. The rainbow is actually just the composite, visible, unfocused image that the eyes receive from an almost infinite number of microscopic water droplets in a low-flying cloud (usually after a passing rain storm) when they are shone upon by the sun. Without a low-flying cloud of water droplets or the sun shining directly on it, there would be no rainbow.

With Rainbow, the talented songwriter has possibly delivered the album of her career with tracks that are vulnerable, honest, cathartic, and yes, total bangers. The range and variety of the tracks are impressive, but even more so is the fact that it's still a completely cohesive album. But enough about how incredible the album is on the whole - let's talk about which songs truly make Rainbow one of 2017's best albums. Rainbow traces a movement of the heart from battered to childlike and gold. It is a renewal that acknowledges the prison of the past, and chooses to find joy, even behind bars. On Rainbow, the cohesion and sense-making is built off a specific bucking of genre. This is still the same girl who dubbed her second album cock pop in a sly twist on cock rock, so don’t be surprised that the album’s got a few clunkers - Godzilla, Boots, and Boogie Feet - all of which live firmly in her old balls-to-the-wall party pop oeuvre. But most of what’s here soars above anything she’s ever done.
