Greatest Hits Live is the third live album by the punk rock band the Ramones. It was released in 1996 on Radioactive Records. The album was recorded at The Academy in New York City on February 29, 1996. Its final two songs are bonus studio tracks that are covers, neither of which appeared on a Ramones album previously. is originally by Motörhead, from the group's album 1916; the song was written as a tribute to the Ramones.

They make no attempt to play new material or reinterpret their older material, they just churn it out to please the crowd. The Ramones' Greatest Hits Live is no exception to the rule.

So, how is "Greatest Hits Live" as an album? It honestly feels like a cheap cash-in, or maybe something cranked out to fill a contract. For one thing, the title is "Greatest Hits Live" which is not only painfully generic, its also oblivious to the fact that the Ramones didn't really have any hits. And if it is a "Greatest Hits" setlist, why is crap like "Cretin Family" on here? Next is the album artwork which is a bunch of grainy, low-quality stills from the "Spider-Man" music video. If you want a great Ramones live album, nothing beats "NYC 1978" which is flat out amazing. This album is really only needed for folks who wanna hear some of the later Ramones material done live or who want the two studio tracks. I picked it up for less than a buck used. For me, it was worth it, but the casual fan definitely doesn't need it.

Rock's greatest live double LP is an unbeatable testimony to the Allman Brothers' improvisational skills, as well as evidence of how they connected with audiences to make jamming feel communal. The audience would kind of play along with us," singerorganist Gregg Allman said of the March 1971 shows documented here. Perhaps the greatest live album ever recorded. From the breathless buildup of the spoken intro through terse, sweat-soaked early hits such as "Try Me" and "Think" into 11 minutes of the raw ballad "Lost Someone," climaxing with a frenzied nine-song medley and ending with "Night Train," Live at the Apollo is pure, uncut soul. And it almost didn't happen.
