Elvis is the eighteenth studio album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley, released in July 1973. It sold over 1 million copies worldwide (despite being released soon after the much more successful Aloha from Hawaii). To differentiate it from his eponymous 1956 release it is sometimes called The "Fool" Album, after its first track. In the US "Fool" was issued as the B-side of "Steamroller Blues" from the Aloha from Hawaii Via Satellite album

In Asheville Elvis also played the longest shows of the tour and performed many rarely sung songs. He was kind of promoting his new album ELVIS TODAY with Shake A Hand, Fairytale, . and Pieces Of My Life. More than any time before he was interacting with his audience, singing songs by request. For example Memphis Tennessee, An American Trilogy, Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Something, Return To Sender or Wooden Heart. Elvis was in a hilarious mood. Tracks: CD1: Asheville, NC, 2. 7. 1975 01. Also Sprach Zarathustra - 02.

On July 22 Elvis gave his first show in Asheville with rare renditions of Why Me Lord (sung by Elvis himself), Shake A Hand, Memphis Tennessee and You Don't Have To Say You Love Me. The tour closing show was really surprising, Elvis gave renditions of That's All Right as show opening, American Trilogy, Something, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Wooden Heart, Return To Sender, and not only this, he gave the first and the only live version of Pieces Of My Life there!!! In all he sang 6 songs from his recent TODAY album in the first half of 1975.

Asheville, July 23 1975. A member of the audience recorded the concert on this double CD during the second Asheville evening, and Elvis is simply fantastic from beginning to the very end his voice, his repertory, and his mood it all shines there. And Elvis looked slimmer (however not as in August 1974) than on previous tours in this year.
