Errol Dunkley, Album. OK Fred: The Best of Errol Dunkley. Other albums by Errol Dunkley. Errol Dunkley 8/10/2004. His ska recordings date back to 1963 with "My Queen" and 1966's "Love Me Forever," both of which are charming in a precocious way, but only hint at the booming vibrato-laden voice that Dunkley would later grow into. His rocksteady cuts like "Once More" and "I'll Take You in My Arms" are where he begins to come into his own, infusing a melancholy lilt into otherwise standard love songs. His deepest cuts here, "Movie Star," "(Oowee) Baby I Love You," and "A Little Way Different," are from his first album, Introducing Errol Dunkley (later reissued as Darling Ooh). Errol Dunkley was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1951 and made his first record at the age of 14. He recorded for all the major producers there in the 1960's (Prince Buster, Joe Gibbs, Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, Rupie Edwards), but as success was not forthcoming, he founded a recording label with Gregory Isaacs (African Museum) and had a hit record with a song based on Delroy Wilson's "I Don't Know Why" and retitled "Movie Star. In 1972, Dunkley had another hit with "Black Cinderella" for the producer Jimmy Radway
