Tosca - Shopsca The Outta Here Versions download mp3 album

Tosca’s ‘Outta Here’ saw the duo of Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Hubert rip up the rule book and start again. Having spent two decades and seven albums practically defining downtempo, chill-out music here was an album with one thing on its mind, the dancefloor. Still some traditions are worth maintaining and so like with each of their previous albums the band now present ‘Shopska’, a reworked version of ‘Outta Here’ that puts each of the albums tracks into a radically new perspective from tough 3am Techno and bouncy Electronica through to spaced out Dub and beyond. Tosca is an electronic music project of Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber formed 1994 in Vienna. It is Dorfmeister's second such project, the first being Kruder & Dorfmeister. Tosca's first album, Opera, was released in 1997 by G-Stone Recordings.
The Viennese duo, otherwise known as Tosca, confound expectations on their new album, ‘Outta Here'. The sonic collages and smooth downbeat jams with which they made their name are replaced with a soul/jazz/blues confection that's closer to a band like Brand New Heavies than anything else. It's called ‘Outta Here' for a reason," explains Rupert Huber. The title stands for change, a change to the concept we've had so far. It refers to a change in energy and dynamic. We've been know for an almost ambient sounds.

It's long been something of a tradition for Tosca's albums to be followed, within a year, by a set of remixes and alternative versions. Shopsca: The Outta Here Versions maintains this trend, delivering all-new reworks of the Viennese duo's 2014 full length, Outta Here. While there's a thread of blazed dub running throughout, the variety of the reworks is actually rather impressive
Shopsca: The Outta Here Versions.
With their 2014 LP Outta Here, however, Tosca took on a more dance-oriented vibe, although that’s not to say the chill has left the music completely. Take Outta Here opener Harry Dean, for instance; although comparatively dancier to earlier Tosca tunes, it’s still leagues away from the popular variants of EDM at the present. Just as they have done with previous LPs, Tosca has called upon numerous artists to remix Outta Here, with results that shine new light on the tracks while also maintaining their danceable sensibility. Dorfmeister explains to PopMatters, Mato is definitely one of our favourite remixers of the recent Tosca album. We just like the way he twists his beats in a modern dub reggae kind of style.
