We Cut Corners is an Irish duo based in Dublin. The duo write short songs on drums and guitar. The debut album 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards' was a nominee for the Choice award for best Irish album of 2011. The Irish Times 4 "'Three People', 'The Leopard' and 'A Pirate's Life' echo The Frames and Conor O'Brien (Villagers) in their ebbs and flows, while 'Go Easy' is a magnificent, heartwarming thrill.

Artist: We Cut Corners. Quality: 320Kbps, Lossless. We Cut Corners – The Cadences Of Others (2016). We Cut Corners – Think Nothing (2014). Mail (will not be published) (required). Kylie Minogue – Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection (2019). Artist: Kylie Minogue. Album: Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection.

Think Nothing is more of the same with an offering that crams 10 tracks into just 27 minutes. Yet this time around a less speedy approach would have served the duo better. The drive-by delivery means gems such as Blue and Overtures barely get a chance to bud before they come to an abrupt halt. There’s still a thrill in the joy-ride: Best Friend is a stomping, bolshy number full of drums and attitude, while Every Thief shows the duo’s more contemplative side.

We Cut Corners sophomore offering, 'Think Nothing', was released in May 2014 to universal praise. The album was recorded with Tommy Mclaughlin (Villagers, Soak, Foy Vance) and mixed by Ben Hillier (Blur, Depeche Mode, Elbow, The Horrors). The album features string arrangements by award-winning, acclaimed Irish classical composer, John Buckley. The duo’s critically acclaimed debut album 'Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards' was recorded by Dublin-based producer and sound designer, Jimmy Eadie and was released on Irish independent record label, Delphi.
