Pietro Grossi - Musicautomatica download mp3 album
Italian composer Grossi began studying music in 1925 when he was eight years old, and played cello for over 30 years with a traditional orchestra, but in the early '60s he had the foresight to view electronic music as the way of the future, and was one of the earliest composers to embrace computer music. This vinyl-only album compiles three of his electronic works from various points in his career, starting off with one of his earliest pieces, "Progretto 2-3" from 1961
Pietro Grossi (15 April 1917, Venezia, Italy - 2002, Firenze, Italy) was an Italian composer and cellist. Grossi established the ( Studio Di Fonologia Musicale Di Firenze (S 2F M) in 1963, which gave technical support to his courses at the Florence Conservatory (1965–73). Between 1969 and 1972 he worked at the "Centro nazionale universitario di calcolo elettronico (CNUCE) in Pisa, compiling computer programmes for performance and composition.
Pietro Grossi (15 April 1917 in Venice – 2002 in Florence) was an Italian composer pioneer of computer music, visual artist and hacker ahead of his time. He began experimenting with electronic techniques in Italy in the early sixties. Pietro Grossi was born in Venice, and he studied in Bologna eventually taking a diploma in composition and violoncello.
