Here Come the Nice" is a song released by English rhythm and blues group Small Faces. It peaked at number 12 in the UK singles chart in 1967. It was their first release on new label Immediate after moving from Decca. The song "Here Come the Nice" is a psychedelic/beat song written by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane

In the works for years, the Small Faces 2014 box set Here Come the Nice is unapologetically one for the devoted. Spanning four discs, the first containing newly remastered Immediate mono single mixes from the original masters, the rest rounding up tracking sessions, alternate mixes, backing tracks, Italian versions, live cuts, and other assorted ephemera, the box's allure lies in its packaging and not its music. Compared to the Faces' Five Guys Walk Into a Bar, another box set heavy on rarities and live performances, Here Come the Nice isn't designed to convert skeptics.

In celebration of the Small Faces recent induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Charly Records are proud to present Here Come The Nice, a beautiful heavyweight deluxe box set compilation of the band s 1960 s career on Andrew Loog Oldham s pioneering Immediate Records label. 75-songs over 4CDs remastered from original analogue master tapes & studio multitracks.

Here Come The Nice opens with a 20-track round-up of singles and EPs. Every Small Faces collector in captivity will already own them in 18 different sleeves, but that may not be the point. This disc is about explaining who the Small Faces were and what they did. A magnificent 54-minute sequence of hit singles, Hammond organs and high-water marks of ’60s pop, it establishes the context, the ground rules. Rather than aim to be an anthology of the whole career, it’s a dipping-into boxset for the fan who wants to get closer – as close as the Pet Sounds and Smile boxsets allowed Beach Boys fans to get to Brian Wilson.

Small Faces were an influential British mod/psychedelic band of the 1960s, led by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane with Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan (who replaced original organist Jimmy Winston). The Small Faces were all genuine East End mods. They were signed to Decca records initially and enjoyed major success across Europe between 1965 and 1967 with classic singles like "All or Nothing" and "Sha-La-La-La-Lee" before moving to a new label.

1] The Immediate Small Faces album was eventually released in the United States as There Are But Four Small Faces, with a considerable track change, including singles "Here Comes The Nice", "Itchycoo Park", and "Tin Soldier", but eliminating several UK album tracks. The next single "Lazy Sunday", released in 1968, was an East End music-hall style song released by Immediate against the band's wishes. It was written by Marriott inspired by the feuds with his neighbours and recorded as a joke. The single reached No. 2 in the UK charts.
