The Cramps were an American Blues band formed in 1976 and active until 2009. The band split after the death of lead singer Lux Interior. Their line-up rotated frequently during their existence, with the husband-and-wife duo of Interior and lead guitarist and occasional bass guitarist Poison Ivy comprising the only ever-present members. Next they recorded two singles in New York City, which were later re-released on their 1979 Gravest Hits EP, before Chilton brought them back that year to Memphis to record their first full-length album, Songs The Lord Taught Us, at Phillips Recording, operated by former Sun Records label owner Sam Phillips.

Notes
First version never released that came in a white cardboard sleeve stamped with ILP 005 on frontA sleeve was printed which had white titles on front and blue text on rear sleeve with the test pressing track listing. This sleeve was mistakenly used for some initial copies of the UK and Canadian releases (2367928 & 6926351) .
"Drug Train", was listed on rear as first track and is the first track on the vinyl, while "Mad Daddy" is "The Mad Daddy".
The whole tracklist order on the sleeve follows the ones played on the test press vinyl.
This version does not appear to have been released with the photographic cover, only white label test pressings in a white cardboard sleeve with an IRS stamp
All songs are different mixes than what was released.
At least two copies of the test pressing was pressed in dark red vinyl that can only be seen when held up to a strong light source
