I See the Sign is the third album by experimental folk artist Sam Amidon, released in 2010. The album features Amidon’s radical reworkings of traditional folk songs, with chamber-orchestra arrangements by composer Nico Muhly; multi-instrumental contributions from Shahzad Ismaily, and guest vocals by Beth Orton. It was produced and mixed by Valgeir Sigurðsson at Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavik and released on the Bedroom Community label.

We meet founders Valgeir Sigurðsson and Nico Muhly to discuss the interconnected nature of what might at first seem vastly different forms of music. Far from a stuffy classical concert or display of one imprint's prowess, it felt like watching one of the world's most gifted bands let loose. Valgeir Sigurðsson: It started with me talking to Airwaves about how I would like to present the idea of Bedroom Community around our 10th anniversary with a focus on the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra.

It also features some insight into artist's work at Greenhouse Studios, their ethos, tour life, etc. The design is based on the idea of perpetual movement & traveling. While the vacuum-sealed package is a nod to snacks you have on the run, the typographic solution inside evolves around the idea of a compass.
