Jimmy Yves Newman (August 29, 1927 – June 21, 2014), better known as Jimmy C. Newman (the C stands for Cajun), was an American singer and a long time star of the Grand Ole Opry. Newman was born near Big Mamou, Louisiana. As a child, he listened more to Gene Autry than to the Cajun music of the area, but had a number of Cajun songs in his repertoire when, as a teenager, he joined Chuck Guillory’s Rhythm Boys. He recorded a few unsuccessful sides for . Miller’s Future label in the 1940s, but Miller persuaded Fred Rose in Nashville, Tennessee to give the young singer an opportunity.

One of the songs, "In Love, Dying" is an eight-minute rocker captured in a single studio take that occupies both sides of a single, as Klinghoffer told Rolling Stone from a recent tour stop in Berne, Switzerland. We’re going to have to do that old trick where it fades out and fades back in on the B-side. Another cut, Victorian Machinery sounds like a big three-headed monster playing drums, Klinghoffer said, adding that the band captured absolute magic with Never Is a Long Time, a pop-tastic number featuring Greg Kurstin on piano. Klinghoffer said that they recorded 48 songs during the album's sessions and some could eventually see the light of day.

I die before your album drop, I hope- Sometimes that process can take more than a year, as it did for Lamar’s 12-minute 2012 song, ‘Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst. One More Night" lyrics. One more night, one more night I've been trying ooh so long to let you know Let you know how I feel And if I stumble if I fall, just help me back So I can make you see. Please give me one more night, give me one more night One more night cos I can't wait forever Give me just one more night, oh just one more night Oh one more night cos I can't wait forever.
