Be Here Now is the third studio album by English rock band Oasis, released on 21 August 1997 by Creation Records. Following the worldwide success of their first two albums, Definitely Maybe (1994) and (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), the album was highly anticipated.
Now pay attention to what I am going to say: The old 1997 copy becomes the "audiophile" version after this release. The new anticipated remastering is something of such irresponsibility, non-professional, laughable and made by audio ignorant folks. Did they just not remove the bass but the treble also has been cut, to the point that the album remaster sounds like an old cassette muffled tape with wimpy sound. If that 1997 release was already brick-walled and terrible, then I don't know what to call this piece of garbage.
Be Here Now’ is the third release in the Oasis 'Chasing The Sun: 1993-1997’ series, out October 14th 2016 on Big Brother Recordings. One of the most anticipated British album releases of all time, ‘Be Here Now’ was recorded with producer Owen Morris at Abbey Road Studios, Ridge Farm Studios, and Air Studios between October 1996 and May 1997. Originally released on Thursday 21st August 1997, it has sold over 8 million copies worldwide. This legendary album has been re-mastered from the original tapes
Oasis’ third album from 1997 was always more circus than substance. The bloated and indulgent remaster only reinforces it as one of the most agonizing listening experiences in pop music. You can see why the powers that be were trying to manage expectations. Journalists issued with a cassette of Be Here Now had to sign an absurd contract stating that they wouldn’t talk about the album while in bed with their partner.

Arriving with the force of a hurricane, Oasis' third album, Be Here Now, is a bright, bold, colorful tour de force that simply steamrolls over any criticism. The key to Oasis' sound is its inevitability - they are unwavering in their confidence, which means that even the hardest rockers are slow, steady, and heavy, not fast. And that self-possessed confidence, that belief in their greatness, makes Be Here Now intensely enjoyable, even though it offers no real songwriting breakthroughs.

For years, Noel has slagged off his own work here and after a week of listening to these 3 CDs fully, I just don't think that's right. While most of the songs on Be Here Now on the whole don't match up to his very finest, hearing the album in demo form shows amply that it's not the songs that are the problem, it's the production. My Big Mouth" minus the 250 guitar tracks is eminently more listenable, and even "All Around The World" at 6 minutes doesn't really lose much, save for bombast.
