Daniel Martin Moore is an American singer and songwriter from Cold Spring, Kentucky. In January 2007, after a stint in the Peace Corps, Moore decided to make a bold move in his music career by sending his unsolicited demo to Sub Pop Records. Moore's pensive yet optimistic songs caught Sub Pop's attention, and he soon had a record deal.

Daniel Martin Moore got a big break by taking a stab in the dark. He sent his unsolicited demo to Sub Pop Records hoping that someone would give it a chance. At HearYa, we get assloads of submissions from bands each week and, while we listen to every single one, we only have time to talk about a select fe. The odds are exponentially worse if you’re submitting your music to an established record label to get signed. Sub Pop listened and took a chance on the Cold Spring, KY singer-songwriter.
