Where Did Our Love Go is the second studio album by Motown singing group The Supremes, released in 1964. The album includes several of the group's singles and B-sides from 1963 and 1964. Included are the group's first Billboard Pop Singles number-one hits, "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", and "Come See About Me", as well as their first Top 40 hit, "When the Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes", and the singles "A Breathtaking Guy" and "Run, Run, Run".
The Supremes thought "Where Did Our Love Go" was childish, and after recording it they didn't like the way it turned out, little knowing it was going to be their first big hit. The Motown studios, known as "Hitsville USA," had high ceilings and mahogany wood floors which enhanced the echoes, foot stomps and finger snaps that were part of many of the tunes recorded there. As Motown heartbreak songs go, this one packs some heat. Diana Ross is on fire with her burning love, but it's not a healthy relationship - it "stings like a be. She's ready to surrender to this guy to keep him from leaving.

The 1962 single release When the Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes gave The Supremes their first Top 30 hit (No. 23) and in the same year they struck gold with the Holland–Dozier–Holland penned Where Did Our Love Go which gave them their first of five US N. hits in a row. More hits followed and during 1965 -1967 The Supremes once again topped the charts with I Hear a Symphony, You Can’t Hurry Love, You Keep Me Hangin’ On, Love Is Here and Now You’re Gone and The Happening
A solid album that brings soul and pop well together to create something easily consumable and enjoyable while maintaining the strong soul vocals and instrumentation. 72. The latest Motown darlings are definitely here to impress and by collecting their singles, they make their second album nearly a greatest hits. Or consider a donation? MISC LISTS.

Although concept albums are associated with classic rock, the vinyl 33 rpm albums, "Where Did Our Love Go" and "The Temptations Sing Smokey", were the first long playing (LP) albums in popular music to be an event unto themselves. Previously, the '50's, and '60's albums by popular artists who made hits via singles were compilations of '45 hits and quickly forgotten standards of the time.
