The Spectrum (French: Le Spectrum de Montréal) was a concert hall, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, that closed on August 5, 2007. Opened on October 17, 1982, as the Alouette Theatre, it was briefly renamed Club Montreal before receiving its popular name. The Spectrum had a capacity of about 1200 and had a "cabaret" setup with table service. A unique effect was the wall mounted lighting which included hundreds of small lightbulbs. The segment in the district of e is also an important commercial area in that neighbourhood, for one weekend in July every year, Saint Catherine Street hosts Canadas largest open-air sidewalk sale. 2 km of the street between Jeanne-Mance Street and St. Mark is closed to traffic, and vendors from nearby shopping centres bring out their sale merchandise, there is also live entertainment along the street.

Produced by Public Image Ltd. Album Public Image: First Issue. Hello, hello Hello, hello Hello, hello. You never listened to a word that I said You only seen me from the clothes that I wear Or did the interest go so much deeper It must have been to the color of my hair. The song was written when Lydon was in the Sex Pistols. The song addresses John Lydon’s feelings of being exploited in the Sex Pistols by Malcolm McLaren and the press. Along with being released as a single, it appeared on PiL’s 1978 debut album Public Image: First Issue. The single was originally packaged in a fake newspaper that makes outrageous statements such as Refused To Play Russian Roullete, No Ones Innocent, Except Us, Donut’s Laugh saves life (Donut being a nickname for Jim Walker) and The Girl Who Drove Me To Tea among others.
