September 26, 1820: American frontiersman Daniel Boone died in Missouri at the age of 85. He had pioneered the Wilderness Road, which led many settlers westward to Kentucky

Materials and Techniques. This mirror has a most unusual finely carved shell, which is quite a standout Gilt Classical Mirror with Original Glass, Backboards, American, circa 1830. Antique 1830s American American Classical Wall Mirrors. The gilding is in superb condition throughout and the detailed carving is of the best quality, making quite a statement above a table or in a hallway Classical Mirrored Wall Chest with Drawers, Probably New York, circa 1825.
