The Sexsationals - All Rock& Is Boring ‎(Cass, dem).

It's Only Rock 'n Roll is the 12th British and 14th American studio album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1974. It was the last Rolling Stones album for guitarist Mick Taylor and the songwriting and recording of the album's title track had a connection to Taylor's eventual replacement, Ronnie Wood. The album also marked the 10th anniversary since the release of the band's debut album, The Rolling Stones.

The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle is the soundtrack album of the film of the same name by the Sex Pistols. By the time the soundtrack was being prepared, Johnny Rotten (Lydon) had left the band and refused to participate in the project, so the "proper" Sex Pistols tracks were done by taking Lydon's vocals from the October 1976 demo session recordings and rerecording their instrumental tracks (done by Paul Cook and Steve Jones).

It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll is a decadent album because it invites us to dance in the face of its own despair. It’s a desperate album that warns at the end of one side tha. reams of the nighttime will vanish by dawn, and on the other that a Kafkaesque someone is listening, good night, sleep tight. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll album because it’s so goddamn violent. At its simplest level the album deals with the psychosis of being in a rock ‘n’ roll band and having made it as a star - and it does that better than the Who’s opus devoted exclusively to that subject, Quadrophenia. At still another, in the best tradition of rock ‘n’ roll, it convincingly flaunts its own raunchiness. The first cut sets the tone of the album by reminding us of pop’s ancient double-entendre: that the word rock refers both to music and to sex. If You Can’t Rock Me sounds like it ought to be about sex.

Bob Dylan gave only one interview about his recent live album Shadows in the Night, comprised of ten pop ballads made famous by Frank Sinatra in the late 50s and early 60s. Was the sole interview with Rolling Stone or Vice? No - it appeared in the February/March 2015 issue of AARP. I expected another -his-porch sentiment on how modern rock is boring blah blah blah (I’m looking at you, Scorsese). What I got, however, was a heartbreaking revelation of a silent assassination. Essentially: From its fused inception, rock ‘n’ roll was already a racially integrated American invention being blasted in teenage bedrooms as early as 1955, but as the Civil Rights Movement was gaining momentum going into 1960, the genre was being commercially segregated, on the sly, into white (British Invasion) and black (soul) music by the (WASPy) establishment.

Album Rock Hard Rock Rock & Roll Contemporary Pop/Rock. Musicland Studios, Munich, . ermany. It's uneven, but at times It's Only Rock 'n Roll catches fire. The songs and performances are stronger than those on Goats Head Soup; the tossed-off numbers sound effortless, not careless
