Marz & Eperjessy - Marz & Eperjessy ‎(CD, Album, RE). Hifly Sound Anstalt.

Marz & Eperjessy. Brilliant music from Germany, 1971, with Rainer Marz and George Eperjessy, both on guitar and vocals. On of the earliest LPs of my favourite label, Bacillus Records, before they were "swallowed" by Bellaphon. Cover art by Dieter Jaschkowitz (with a little inspiration from Rudolf Hausner, I suppose), design by Walter Seyffer.

A straightforward rock album with powerful guitar work from the great Bacillus Records label, including many familiar names from that stable: Curt Cress on drums, Pete Bender on Keyboards, Produced by Peter Hauke. Cover design by Helmut Wenske, who also made some other Bacillus covers, most famously some of the early Nektar stuff (A Tab in the Ocean, Remember the Future) in a rather different style. Smack Tracks" and "Wheels Are Turning" are my favourite songs on this one. There is also another, earlier, album by guitarist/singer Rainer Marz on Bacillus, called Marz.

Marz, born Zlatko Hukic, is a Croatian rapper based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He spent several years with Ministry before forming his own rap-metal band, also called Marz. After touring with Insane Clown Posse and contributing to the band Dark Lotus, he set up his own record label, Billion Dollar Ballers.
