The Clash is the debut studio album by English punk rock band the Clash. It was released on 8 April 1977 through CBS Records. Written and recorded over three weeks in February of 1977 for a paltry £4,000, it would go one to reach on the UK charts, and has been included on many retrospective rankings as one of the greatest punk albums of all time

A new version of The Clash's previous singles compilation The Singles or Singles Box, this compilation presents a stripped down view of the singles of The Clash's career, not including any of the B-sides incorporated into the release of the earlier collection and compiled onto a single disc. London Calling" (from London Calling). Rock the Casbah" (from Combat Rock). Should I Stay or Should I Go" (from Combat Rock).

Rude Boy is a semi-documentary, part character study, part 'rockumentary', featuring a British punk band, The Clash. The script includes the story of a fictional fan juxtposed with actual public events of the day, including political demonstrations and Clash concerts. Filmed over a period of years, the written dialog takes on the appearance of improvisation. Written by Edmund Nasjleti

Rude Boy (Epic/Legacy). Like Jean-Luc Godard's One Plus One – now commonly known as Sympathy for the Devil – the propagandist agenda of Rude Boy can neither dampen nor dilute the real cry preserved.

Although time would swiftly negate much of its original impact, the Clash's 1980 movie, Rude Boy, remains one of the most convincing of all the manifold documents of British punk as it happened, tying the movement's political discontent into a historical context that other would-be chroniclers were too intense to see - a true case of not seeing the woods through.

Rude Boy is a 1980 British film directed by Jack Hazan and David Mingay and filmed in 1978 and early 1979. The film, part fiction, part rockumentary, tells the story of Ray Gange, a Clash fan who leaves his job in a Soho sex shop to become a roadie for the band. The film includes footage of the Clash at a Rock Against Racism concert at Victoria Park, on their "On Parole" and "Sort It Out". tours, and in the studio recording the album Give 'Em Enough Rope. The film was named after the rude boy subculture. The Clash became so disenchanted with the film that, by its release, they had Better Badges make badges stating 'I don't want Rude Boy Clash Film'. Joe Strummer told Melody Maker in 1980: "We didn't like what they were doing with the black people, because they were showing them dipping into pockets and then they were shown being done for. The film includes footage of The Clash at a Rock Against Racism concert at Victoria Park, on their "On Parole" and "Sort It Out" tours, and in the studio recording the album Give 'Em Enough Rope
