Paul Stanley is a 1978 solo album from Paul Stanley, the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of American hard rock band Kiss. It was one of four solo albums released by the members of Kiss on September 18, 1978. It is the only album of the four Kiss solo albums to feature all original songs, as Simmons, Criss and Frehley each recorded one cover song on their albums.
Paul Stanley - Hold Me, Touch Me, Goodbye (Single). Paul Stanley - Paul Stanley (Album).
Paul Stanley's 1978 solo album was the most Kiss-like of the four, sounding more like an official band release rather than a solo outing. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing - Stanley had become a seasoned hard rock songwriter by this point, churning out some of Kiss' best material ("Love Gun," "Detroit Rock City," "I Want You," et., and wisely stuck to his winning formula on Paul Stanley.
KISS - Paul Stanley Interview 1989 - With Makeup! added by rakshasa. In fact, it could be said that Kiss is Gene and Paul, as the remaining two original members, guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss, haven’t played with the band in over ten years. Those roles are now filled by Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, respectively.
Do you remember when you said I was the only one? We'll watch the years go passing by I never dreamed that with a love I thought had just begun I'd ever hear you say goodbye When we meet and I start smiling I'm just lying through my tears. Baby, every time I see you with your arms around another Everytime my world comes crashing down And it's all bittersweet, my heart skips a beat Everytime I see you around. I go to places, but it's not the way it used to be I only picture you and I My friends all tell me I can push you from my memories There's only. Yeah, I found my way to a warm embrace But I still think about ya How can somebody else take your place When the things that I do bring me closer to you When I say (mmm-mmm-mmm) I can't stand it - no (mmm-mmm-mmm) Do you remember when you said I was the only one?
