Something Wicked This Way Comes is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. Released on July 7, 1998, it was the band's first album to feature bassist James MacDonough and guitarist Larry Tarnowski, and is the only Iced Earth album to be solely produced by Jim Morris, who has worked with the band since 1996's The Dark Saga.

Band Name Iced Earth. Album Name Something Wicked This Way Comes. 12. Birth of the Wicked. 13. The Coming Curse.

Something Wicked This Wa. .has been added to your Cart. Iced Earth has been at the top of the quality spectrum of Metal for decades now, and this album is as good as it gets. It's got classic IE heavy riffs, an instrumental, ballad-style songs, and the "Something Wicked" trilogy that is to die for. Matt Barlow is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) voice Heavy Metal has ever seen, and pairs perfectly with Jon Schaffer's unmatched writing style.

Iced Earth’s 1996 album The Dark Saga was the album that made you go Man, it just don’t get much better than this! In 1998 along comes Something Wicked This Way Comes to prove that it does get better than tha. uch, much better. Previously labelled as an Iron Maiden tribute band, Something Wicked This Way Comes shrugs this label off and stamps Iced Earth’s own mark on the Heavy Metal scene

Iced Earth's fifth album is yet another fantastic release from the band. It combines the heaviness of the band's third album Burnt Offerings with the softer melodious side of their fourth album The Dark Saga. This combination of the emotional and heavy sides of the band's sound makes Something Wicked This Way Comes one of the band's most well-constructed albums. The Good: The performances on this album are fantastic. Matt Barlow is a very confident vocalist who basically sounds perfect on every track.

Listen free to Iced Earth – Something Wicked This Way Comes (Burning Times, Melancholy (Holy Martyr) and more). Something Wicked This Way Comes is American heavy metal band Iced Earth's fifth album, released on July 7, 1998, by Century Media Records. It is the band's first album featuring lead guitarist Larry Tarnowski, and also features the return of former studio drummer Mark Prator, who wasn't part of the band during re-recording sessions for Days of Purgatory. The last three songs make up the "Something Wicked" trilogy.

Sound - 9 Iced Earth is back with their 5th studio album " Something Wicked This Way Comes " and sounds better than ever. Something Wicked opens up with an abrupt but exciting guitar melody and is lead into the lyrics, written by the legendary vocals of Matt Barlow, also one of the few songs he wrote, but back to the instrumentals, it's not hard to say that rhythm guitaris/lead writer John Schaffer makes an excellent contribution with his guitar magic that is consistant throughout. The Coming Curse is the best song on the album for sure and may even be the best Iced Earth song yet. A piano does the honours of opening up the song and is done very nicely over arabic flute echoes and finally leads into the main riff that an Iced Earth fan would call a demand to love, packed with amazing double bass, and is probably the easiest song to hear the bass in.
