It’s a 21-track, mostly instrumental album, made from about six hours of music that Jewel originally composed for David Lynch’s TV comeback. That kind of music that mixes dreams and nightmares. Johnny Jewel (born John David Padgett) is an American t, record producer, composer, and visual artist. Jewel owns and operates his own record label, Italians Do It Better. In collaboration with David Lynch, Jewel composed several hours of original music for the Twin Peaks limited series, although little of it was ultimately used. Several songs from his solo album Windswept (2017) appeared in the series, including "Windswept" and "The Flame.

Italians Do It Better artist Johnny Jewel has released a lengthy album called Symmetry - Themes for an Imaginary Film. According to a press release, Jewel started working on Symmetry back in 2008 and finished it in May of this year. In terms of style, the album is very much in keeping with Italians Do It Better's trademark sound: dark and cinematic with a bit of campy flair
