Duncan Browne (25 March 1947 - 28 May 1993) was a singer-songwriter from England whose début album "Give Me, Take You", a melancholy baroque folk album often compared to Nick Drake's albums, was released on Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label in 1968. Together with two other ts, Peter Godwin and Sean Lyons, Browne formed the band Metro whose debut ('Metro') was released in the late '70s on the Transatlantic label.

The Wild Places is the first of these electric solo albums, featuring the hit single title tack. Originally released in 1978, the music has a sense of drama closer to Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music than his previous efforts. Featuring a fierce sound with lush keyboards and beautiful melodies, this is Browne at the top of his game. 180 gram audiophile vinyl. View Complete Catalog.

Produced by Duncan Browne. Album The Wild Places. The Wild Places Lyrics. And oh, oh, take me to the wild places And let me show you what the night is for 'Cos I don't wanna dream I wanna set the wheels in motion I don't wanna see your eyes across a dancin' floor". TV angel with her eyes full of smoke Gazin' at the hero, he's so mucho macho He shrugs, he says: "This must be some kind of joke" As she pulls on his cigarette And loves him to distraction But she cries, "I don't wanna feel like a machine I'm not the only one who wants to feel the in-between.

The song was included on Browne's second album Duncan Browne in 1973. In the 1970s, Browne formed the band Metro with Peter Godwin and released some records in the US on the Sire label. He released two solo albums: The Wild Places and Streets of Fire. The song "The Wild Places" was a hit single in the Netherlands. From the same period, "Criminal World", co-written by Browne with Peter Godwin, was recorded by David Bowie on his 1983 Let's Dance album.
