Max Bennett (born 24 November 1984) is an English actor. On screen he is best known for playing Robert Southwell in Will for TNT, and Petritsky in Joe Wright's film adaptation of Anna Karenina. He has worked extensively in London theatre, with leading roles in the West End, as well as for the Donmar Warehouse, Royal Court, Young Vic, Shakespeare's Globe and the National Theatre.

Max Bennett (May 24, 1928 – September 14, 2018) was an American jazz bassist and session musician. Bennett grew up in Kansas City and Oskaloosa, Iowa, and went to college in Iowa. His first professional gig was with Herbie Fields in 1949, and following this he played with Georgie Auld, Terry Gibbs, and Charlie Ventura. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953, and then played with Stan Kenton before moving to Los Angeles

Bassist Max Bennett, who later in life played with pop/fusion bands in Los Angeles, started out his career as a bebop-oriented straight-ahead bassist in the Los Angeles area. He led three albums for Bethlehem, of which this was his first. Bennett heads a quintet full of notable West Coasters: trombonist Frank Rosolino, altoist Charlie Mariano, pianist Claude Williamson, and drummer Stan Levey.
