East coast rose, out on the scene Looking out the window of a black limosine Lady on the corner, she's a takin' it hard Rose, she got it easy on the boulevard Money is hard, so is the man Makin' his money off of toys in japan A little bit of love, it'll go a long way You can always find. somebody willing to pay for that. Wound up tight Somewhere in the night She is outta sight M,m,m midnight bite, ow! When you're down and out, only one thing you gotta do Say whoa! East coast rose, got her hands in your pocket East coast rose
Lord Tracy, a little-known hard rock/heavy metal/arena rock combo, turned out to be among 1989's one-album wonders - which is regrettable because their first and last album, Deaf Gods of Babylon, is generally decent. While this Mark Dodson-produced CD falls short of excellent, it is a respectable effort that is fairly unpredictable. In 1989, there were plenty of faceless hair bands in the metal/hard rock field - headbangers who figured that the quickest and easiest way to achieve commercial success was to sound exactly like Guns N' Roses, Motley Crüe, or Bon Jovi
Lord Tracy originally consisted of bassist Kinley "Barney" Wolfe, drummer Chris Craig and guitarist Jimmy. In 2004, Lord Tracy got back together and has since played a limited number of shows per year in Memphis, TN, Dallas, TX, Little Rock, AR and Fort Worth, TX as well as Rocklahoma! Deaf Gods of Babylon is the first of what is now four Lord Tracy albums and contains an assortment ofsongs ranging in style from arena power ballads (Chosen Ones, Foolish Love) to speed metalish (Pirahna) to rap (3HC) to straight ahead, in your face rock and roll (Out With the Boys, East Coast Rose, and Submission). In fact, the album is anything but predictable and will catch you off guard with humor and excitement as you move your way through it.
