As the band was switching labels, a cover of one of the earlier Sutherland Brothers recordings, "Sailing", became a major UK hit for Rod Stewart. The September 1975 album release Reach for the Sky marked the debut of the Sutherland Brothers and Quiver on CBS Records. Their first CBS single, "Ain't Too Proud" (1975; featuring David Gilmour of Pink Floyd on pedal steel guitar) did not chart, but the second CBS single, "Arms of Mary" charted in April 1976, becoming a UK Top Ten hit single. Count folk-pop duo the MacDonald Bros. among the myriad young acts launched to fame via the reality TV phenomenon of the early 21st century. Siblings Brian and Craig MacDonald were born and raised in Ayr, Scotland. They began harmonizing as toddlers, and in high school collaborated in a Queen cover band dubbed Cobra. While older brother Craig later worked as a bank teller, Brian toiled as a bedding salesman. The MacDonald Bros recorded a Christmas album in the summer of 2010 which featured 19 tracks including many popular classics such as "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," "Last Christmas," and "Merry Christmas Everyone. Originally it was recorded to go on sale exclusively during their "X-MAS" tour in Nov – Dec 2010, however the album later was brought to the market on download only.
