Norwegian band a-ha missed a huge opportunity in doing a live album to reflect a last concert. As they recorded one single live show, many shortcomings can turn around as a deal breaker for those who really appreciate a well done live album
Of course, there are two phases to a-ha. Maybe three, if you count the Farewell Tour as another. After Take On Me, they released five albums: 1985’s Hunting High And Low, 1986’s Scoundrel Days, 1988’s Stay On These Roads, 1990’s East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon and 1993’s Memorial Beach. Foot Of The Mountain, issued in 2009, became their final album. The Farewell Tour was accompanied by the release of the career-spanning anthology, 25, and the final single Butterfly, Butterfly (The Last Hurrah). Although the final show inevitably looked back, Morten says I’ve never collected memories, I never think like that.

Recorded at the Oslo Spektrum in December 2010, Ending on a High Note: The Final Concert is a chance for those a-ha fans who couldn't get a ticket for the Norwegian synth pop trio's last ever live performance to bask in the glory of their triumphant swan song.
I attended the three last ever a-ha concerts: December 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2010.
