Reflections of a Floating World by Elder, released 02 June 2017 1. Sanctuary 2. The Falling Veil 3. Staving Off Truth 4. Blind 5. Sonntag 6. Thousand Hands Released on 2LP/CD by Stickman Records and Armageddon shop. com Europe/World: ww. tickman-records. world/ - Reflections of a Floating World is Elder's fourth full length album and second LP released via Stickman Records (EU) and Armageddon Label (US) released via Stickman Records (EU) and Armageddon Label (US).

Elder’s fourth full-length album. Long, undulating and dense tracks float between psychedelic passages and progressive rock without missing a beat; adventurous and unpredictable songs are punctuated by hypnotic jams, all colored by the tendency toward melody and dynamism that has become the band’s hallmark.

Reflections of a Floating World carries with it the same affinity for vast, endlessly unfolding compositions as its predecessor. Instrumental Sonntag is the sole sub-nine-minute track of the bunch, and as such doesn’t leave quite the same impact as the other five. But those other five: Wow. For a band that never seems to stop finding new paths to explore, Reflections feels even more atmospheric and psychedelic than those that came before it, revealing a more refined sense of ambience and lush beauty among their new set of compositions. You can get lost in these tracks or simply sit back and follow where each track goes. Reflections of a Floating World is the kind of album that isn’t meant to be experienced the same way twice. It might not even be possible. Similar Albums: Pallbearer – Heartless Baroness – Purple Dungen – Ta Det Lugnt. May 30, 2017Jeff Terich.

Born into the world without knowing Whispering for life He who wears the crimson shroud Hollow, lifeless and divine. Deception is the book of faith Silence is the only embrace We walk the land without a choice Screaming as though we have a voice. Running through the fields Down the ones you think you need Throwing off the chains, cursing years in vain Living in a myth, the boundaries of which lie in decay The body seeks to convalesce The earth we deem it's own redress. We stand upon a floating world Simply staving off the truth. Grasping only as it fades The simple truth we lost As hours turned to days. And in the afterglow it seemed The wishing well is full Of worthless currency. Condemned to watch the whole charade The monuments of man fall into decay The promise, grand in golden script The night in all it's gray and sorrow dispossess.

Reflections Of A Floating World is a music studio album recording by ELDER (Heavy Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2017 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. DiSalvo mentioned in an interview that the title of this album comes from a Japanese term "The Floating World" which refers to a particular period in Japanese history where the arts were flourishing but also there was a self-destructive decadent lifestyle. It seemed appropriate to DiSalvo to name this album as such considering the times we live in in 2017.
