The Histoire Naturelle, générale et particulière, avec la description du Cabinet du Roi (French for Natural History, General and Particular, with a Description of the King's Cabinet) is an encyclopaedic collection of 36 large (quarto) volumes written between 1749–1804 by the Comte de Buffon, and continued in eight more volumes after his death by his colleagues, led by Bernard Germain de Lacépède.

The album reached on the French charts soon after its release and has achieved platinum status. The first single from "Histoires Naturelles", "Nolwenn Ohwo!", reached and the second extract "Histoire Naturelle" was The third single released was "Mon Ange"; it managed to peak at on the French Download Singles Chart. Histoire Naturelle des Indes, Come Les Esclaues Naigres Trauaillent Et Cherchent Lor Aux-Mynes En La Terre Nommee Veraugue, Illustrated manuscript, ca. 1586, MA 3900 (fo. 9v-100). The volume, known as the Drake Manuscript and titled Histoire Naturelle des Indes when it was bound in the eighteenth century, gives us a wonderful picture of daily life at the time of Drake's many visits to the region. Although Drake's connection to the manuscript is uncertain, he is mentioned on more than one occasion by the authors.
