Produced by Chico Neves. Album Camaleão Borboleta. Camaleão Borboleta Graveola.

Mais Um Discos MAIS 032CD.

Graveola (described in the press notes as Gilles Peterson& favourite new Brazilian band) sound as if they have gorged on Tropicalia itself. Like their predecessors they compose and perform songs of resistance. Songs that protest issues such as tenements bulldozed to make way for World Cup stadiums, seek to raise awareness for topics like the preservation of indigenous heritage. Any key Tropicalista you care to name, Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Os Mutantes, Tom Ze, can be heard in their music. You can also throw in Azymuth and Robson & Olivetti.

Canto de los Flores, 03:46.

Borboletta is the sixth studio album by Santana. It is one of their jazz-funk-fusion oriented albums, along with Caravanserai (1972), and Welcome (1973). Non-band albums by Carlos Santana in this style also include Love Devotion Surrender (1973) with John McLaughlin and Illuminations (1974) with Alice Coltrane, Jack DeJohnette and Jules Broussard. The record was released in a metallic blue sleeve displaying a butterfly, an allusion to the album Butterfly Dreams (1973) by Brazilian musician Flora Purim and her husband Airto Moreira, whose contributions deeply influenced the sound of Borboletta. In Portuguese, borboleta means "butterfly". Original bassist David Brown returned to replace Doug Rauch and Leon Patillo joined. After the album's completion, drummer Michael Shrieve left, to be replaced by Leon "Ndugu" Chancler, who had guested on parts of the album.

Graveola’s third album Camaleão Borboleta (Chameleon Butterfly) is a musical pick-me-up with hope at the centre of the message and fired with socially conscious lyrics concerning the power of the internet, native Brazilian-Indian struggles and issues around marijuana legalisation
