The Stylistics - Solo Tu (Y Solamente Tu) = Only You (And You Alone) / El Gran Pretendiente = The Great Pretender download mp3 album

Only You (And You Alone)" (often shortened to "Only You") is a pop song composed by Buck Ram. It was originally recorded by The Platters with lead vocals by Tony Williams in 1955. The Platters first recorded the song for Federal Records on May 20, 1954, but the recording was not released
Solo pocas palabras tu y yo. No he tenido ocasion lo sabes bien. Pensarlo mucho cometes errores. Y suena la música hasta la manana. Te siento mas cercana. Y solo esta noche o toda la vida. Ahora si corro no veo salida. Te siento tan fuerte. And only you are my motive. I'm not going to promise anything here. I'm doing it only for you.

When the Platters track, "The Great Pretender" (which eventually surpassed the success of "Only You"), was released in the UK as Europe's first introduction to The Platters, Only You was included on the flipside. In the 1956 film Rock Around the Clock, The Platters participated with both songs "Only You" and "The Great Pretender". Only you can make this world seem right Only you can make the darkness bright Only you and you alone can thrill me like you do And fill my heart with love for only you Only you can make this change in me For it's true, you are my destiny When you hold my hand I understand the magic that you do. You're my dream come true, my one and only you Only you can make this change in me For it's true, you are my destiny When you hold my hand I understand the magic that you do You're my dream come true, my one and only you (One and only you).
Sólo solo: Only alone. Sólo tú tienes el filo que rompe mi cascarón. Sólo tú pintas de negro el brillo de mi canción. Solo and sólo are pronounced exactly the same, whether or not an accent over the initial o appears. So why mark the word in the catchy refrain of Circo's song? It's to clarify the meaning of the lyrics. You see, sólo is an adverb meaning "only," "solely" or "just"-same as solamente. In fact, sólo and solamente can be used interchangeably. A speaker (or singer) can decide which sounds better. If you're ever scribbling down song lyrics from the radio and trying to decide if there's an accent in sólo, simply substitute solamente to see if the meaning remains clear. Of course, accent marks are also used in Spanish to change the pronunciation of a word. Soló - from the verb solar ("to pave" or "to floor") - means "he paved.
