This is the discography of Soft Cell, a British synthpop duo consisting of Marc Almond and Dave Ball who rose to prominence in the early 1980s. The duo broke up in 1984 after releasing four albums, but reunited in the early 2000s for a series of live dates and released an album of new material in 2002. Album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. Everywhere I go I take a little piece of you I collect, I reject Photographs I took of you. Towns that I passed through I´ve got to have a memory Or I have never been there I have never had you, I have never had you (had you, had you). I can´t remember Give me a reminder I collect, I reject Memorabilia Memorabilia

Album Name Memorabilia - the Singles. 12. Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart. 13. Waifs and Strays. Other productions from Soft Cell. Cruelty Without Beauty. This Last Night in Sodom.

Complete your Soft Cell collection. Soft Cell perfected the art of the 12" mix & if you need an introduction to them, this track sums it all up. Unfortunately, "Persuasion" is rather self-indulgently experimental & is an unmemorable flipside to a classic track. Reply Notify me 2 Helpful.

Unbelievable! No mention of Persuasion?Marc at his dark, neurotic best. Intense as fuck, you'll be lucky to listen to this track all the way through without wanting to throw something at the wall.Ultra minimal synth production drones under Marc's cries. It's not for fans of Tainted Love.

Produced and remixed by Mute Records mastermind, Daniel Miller, on a 16 track! Such a primitive, yet geniune track. I think it was and still is one of the first "heartbeats" of house music and electro.

Listening to it now, it's hard to believe that "Memorabilia" is over 2 decades old as it holds its own with the best of subsequent electronic dance tracks and seems even more 'now' in the current company of Felix Da Housecat, Les Rythmes Digitales & Playgroup. The 12" version is far superior to the 7", as it makes full use of the space to create an extended groove. Soft Cell perfected the art of the 12" mix & if you need an introduction to them, this track sums it all up. Unfortunately, "Persuasion" is rather self-indulgently experimental & is an unmemorable flipside to a classic track.
