Light Upon Light is an album by American jazz trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith which was released in 1999 on the Tzadik Records' Composer Series. The album includes a composition for chamber ensemble and gamelan quartet, a solo piece for viola, a bass concerto written for Bert Turetzky and two electronic pieces.

Recording of this album began in late 2014 and concluded in the middle of 2018. It was recorded at Big Nice Studio in Lincoln, RI, mixed and engineered by Chaimes Parker; Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Boston, MA, mixed and engineered by Matt Beaudoin; Eyeland Studios at the Columbus Theatre in Providence, RI, engineered by Andrew Nault; and in several homes, apartments, and closets throughout Rhode Island, engineered by John Faraone and Mat Eastwood. It was mastered at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket, RI, by Keith Souza and Seth Manchester  .
