Originally issued in 1967, NEW AND OLD GOSPEL is one of the final albums in jazz saxophonist Jackie McLean's long and impressive run on the iconic Blue Note label. What makes this adventurous hard-bop album even more significant, however, is the presence of the legendary Ornette Coleman, in a rare turn as both a sideman and a trumpet player
Mint records are new, unplayed, and records must be top-notch to receive that grade, with no scratches or marks on the vinyl Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly)that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. Basically, an LP in near mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. Excellent Plus (EX+/-) Some light paper scuffs and perhaps 1 or 2 minimal small light scratches. In general, if not for a couple minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.
