With a Little Help from My Friends" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and intended as the album's featured vocal for drummer Ringo Starr. The group recorded the song towards the end of the sessions for Sgt. Pepper, with Starr singing as the character "Billy Shears".

The album was recorded as if Sgt. Pepper was a real band. It opens with the title track, then segues into "With A Little Help From My Friends. Beatles drummer Ringo Starr sang lead, introduced as "Billy Shears," a name chosen because it sounded good and played up the idea that the group was in character. The song was never released as a single, but became one of the group's most enduring tracks. K from Nowhere, OnSome things are oversimlpified or overexaggerated. are you serious? Granted, a lot of Beatles songs are mistakenly assumed to be drug-related, but c'mon, the line "I get high with a little help from my friends" well that's pretty obvious.

Joe Cocker's debut album holds up extraordinarily well across four decades, the singer's performance bolstered by some very sharp playing, not only by his established Chris Stainton, but also some top-notch session musicians, among them drummer Clem Cattini, Steve Winwood on organ, and guitarists Jimmy Page and Albert Lee, all sitting in. It's Cocker's voice, a soulful rasp of an instrument backed up by Madeline Bell, Sunny Weetman and Rossetta Hightower that carries this album and makes "Change in Louise," "Feeling Alright," ". .

And I'll try not to sing out of key. Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends. Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends. What do I do when my love is away. Are you sad because you're on your own ?) No, I get by with a little help from my friends. Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends. Do you need anybody.
