Pepper’s cover features a collage of 57 images of celebrities behind The Beatles, dressed in colourful military garb, mocking the trend of military fashion at the time. The lyrics were printed on the back cover of the LP, marking the first time that had ever been done. The 30 March 1967 photo session with Cooper also produced the back cover (just the Beatles, with Paul with his back at the camera) and the inside gatefold (a close up of the Fab Four). I just fantasised, well, ‘Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’. That’d be crazy enough because why would a Lonely Hearts Club have a band? If it had been Sergeant Pepper’s British Legion Band, that’s more understandable. 2. With a Little Help from My Friends Lyrics.

Released on 1st June, 1967, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the band's eighth album became the soundtrack to the "summer of love" but its appeal is timeless. Work had begun on the recording in late 1966 and at one stage it was thought that both Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever would also be included but when these were released as a single in February, that idea was abandoned. Revolver had only just been completed in time prior to the band flying off on yet another tour. The Beatles' next LP, which has already taken over seven months to record is at last nearing completion. Titled 'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' it will be finished during the second week of April. Among tracks now completed are 'A Day In The Life', a John Lennon solo on which he is backed by a 41-piece orchestra. When I'm 64' a novelty number in early phonographic style featuring Paul McCartney.

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles.

The song appears twice on the album: as the opening track (segueing into "With a Little Help from My Friends"), and as "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)", the penultimate track (segueing into "A Day in the Life"). As the title song, the lyrics introduce the fictional band that performs on the album.
