Fernando José Torres Sanz (Spanish pronunciation: ; born 20 March 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for J1 League club Sagan Tosu. Torres started his career with Atlético Madrid, progressing through their youth system to the first-team squad. He made his first-team debut in 2001 and finished his time at the club with 75 goals in 174 La Liga appearances.

In 2010 Mauro represented Mexico at the" Viña del mar" international song Festival in Chile, the most highly regarded annual Latin American Music Event. Among his many achievements are performances for the presidents of Mexico in different events like one for the Mexican president Calderón and Sarkozy from France in the Presidential Palace in Mexico City, and in Rome at the college of Cardinals. He also performed at the Yakult Hall in Tokyo and in the Poliforum Cultural series in the Metropolitan Theatre in Mexico with the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra. Mauro was the feature Latin.

It is an operetta film, based on the 1948 stage work of the same title. The film's sets were designed by Léon Barsacq and the costumes by Marcel Escoffier and Jean Zay.
