And their debut LP 'Watoosh!' explores the outfit's original ska influenced style of punk. Re-released in 2005, this is not as catchy as their later work, while Ben Kowalewicz's vocals will still be the decisive factor for many. The raw production is a two-edged sword, as are the immature - if occasionally humorous - lyrics, but ultimately this is a curiously satisfying combination of youthful abandon & tight, talented musicianship.

Watoosh! is the only studio album released in 1999 from the Canadian band Pezz before the band changed the name to Billy Talent. Pezz had changed their band name in 1999 after an American band with the same name threatened to sue them. The album was re-released in 2005 through Atlantic Records. All tracks written by Pezz except where noted. Track 13 is an instrumental, while tracks 11, 12 and 14-16 are blank.

Dudebox is 7 song EP cassette tape recorded by Billy Talent (under their previous name, "Pezz") in January 1995. It was a follow up to their previous release, "Demoluca". The decision to spend money for a professional recording by Dave Tedesco at Toronto's Signal To Noise studio enhanced Pezz' sound dramatically. The EP led the way to Pezz' 1999 underground breakthrough full-length album Watoosh!. All tracks written by Pezz (Billy Talent). Benjamin Kowalewicz - lead vocals. Ian D'Sa - lead guitar, vocals.
