Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, 1962 by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody".
The Best of Bob Dylan is a single-disc compilation album containing songs by Bob Dylan, released on November 15, 2005. Blowin' in the Wind". The Times They Are a-Changin'". Like a Rolling Stone". Rainy Day Women ♯12 & 35". "All Along the Watchtower".
Real Live is a live album documenting Bob Dylan’s 1984 tour of Europe, released at the end of that same year by Columbia Records. Most of the concert was recorded at Wembley Stadium on 7 July, but License to Kill and Tombstone Blues come from St James’ Park, Newcastle on 5 July, and I and I and Girl from the North Country were recorded at Slane Castle, Ireland on 8 July. The Barcelona concert is generally judged outstanding. The album waywardly misrepresents this tour in particular and the whole glory of Bob Dylan in live performance generally. In my humble opinion the track Tangled Up in Blue could be one of the best yet. Yes, the performance and re arrangement of the lyrics are different, but isn;t that what makes BOB great. From a purely storied perspective the lyrics work.
Bob Dylan - Barcelona '84 "Dylan tree Fan Project". Dylantree" CDR - WAV (EAC) - FLAC (Flac frontend) - You. Mini Estadi del . Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain June 28th 1984. Quality: Excellent Audience. It is from the master tapes and is better than the CD boot that exists of this show. I would like to tree it in his memory. It is one of my favourite Dylan shows of all time. The taper put the set on 3 CDR's to get every bit of what he recorded. I have put them on 2 CDR's and the results are excellent. What a GREAT show this is.
For the best complete 1976 show, check out New Orleans 5/3/76. By this point in the tour Dylan’s marriage to his first wife Sara had been severed beyond repair, purging Sara from the setlist and replacing it with Blood On The Tracks songs like the snarling Idiot Wind and You’re A Big Girl Now. You also get a sense of the complete show, with Joan Baez doing her hit cover of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, Kinky Friedman doing his signature song Asshole From El Paso and Roger McGuinn’s solo take on the Byrds classic Eight Miles High. After converting to Christianity and cutting an album of born-again songs, Dylan hit the road singing only the new material. Bob Dylan, Recovering Christian: Rolling Stone’s 1984 Interview. Sydney, 2/24/86 With the exception of a six-week European stadium run in the summer of 1984, Dylan stayed off the road between 1981 and 1986.
Bob Dylan Live 1975: The Rolling Thunder Revue: Hard Rain captured this tour at the tail end when the participants were exhausted, burned-out and disillusioned. This album by contrast, is at the start of the tour and it absolutely smokes from start to finish. Definitive versions of 'Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You, The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll, Isis, and Hurricane. Also a wonderfully droll moment when the band is about to launch into 'Oh Sister', somebody shouts out 'do a protest song!' and Dylan retorts 'here's one for ya' and.
My favourite Bob Dylan album. The most underrated of Dylan's albums. A work of dazzling emotional complexity. Always loved this one. I don't understand why it isn't more highly regarded. 14 The Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Bob Dylan Live 1966, the "Royal Albert Hall" Concert. Worth it for the magnificent lead up to Like A Rolling Stone. Telling all the stuck-in-the-mud folkies where to get off.
