John Bisset is a quietly brilliant improvisational guitarist; Ivor Kallin is a bearded Scotsman given to stream of consciousness spew. They used to run the experimental 2:13 club in a north London pub, but were recently ejected by a confused landlady. The duo's first album finds Kallin dredging his native Glasgow for incoherent memories, many concerning toilets or food, while Bisset extemporises appropriate accompaniment on an acoustic guitar. Atop the 66 bus, Kallin intones apocalyptically sinister street names as the engine rumbles
