Harrison and Eric Clapton performing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the 1987 Prince's Trust Concert in London Collaborations. Harrison co-wrote the song "Badge" with Clapton, which was included on Cream's 1969 album, Goodbye. Harrison played rhythm guitar on the track, using the pseudonym "L'Angelo Misterioso" for contractual reasons. In May 1970 he played guitar on several songs during a recording session for Dylan's album New Morning. Between 1971 and 1973 he co-wrote.

Eric Clapton is the debut solo studio album by British rock musician Eric Clapton, released in August 1970 under Atco and Polydor Records. After being successful with bands including The Yardbirds, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Cream and Blind Faith, Clapton recorded an album under his own name in late 1969 and early 1970. The album cover shows Clapton sitting in a room which is going to be decorated and in which a ladder, a chair and some carpets are placed.

Happy Xmas is the first Christmas album by Eric Clapton, his twenty-first studio album, released on 12 October 2018. It includes 13 covers of Christmas-themed songs (15 on the European re-release), both well-known and relatively obscure ones, arranged in a predominantly blues style, and one new composition by Clapton and producer Simon Climie.

The 20 best Eric Clapton songs. By TeamRock (Louder) 2018-01-17T14:36:00. Some of the world's most important musicians come together to collate Eric Clapton's finest moments. Eric Clapton - Have You Ever Loved A Woman - . Oli Brown: Most of my friends at school listened to Radio 1. Eric Clapton was just like, ‘Oh, that’s what my parents like. But I wasn’t anywhere close to being ‘cool’ at that age, and my dad had a great taste in music. There are two versions to choose from: an up-tempo soul stomper from Clapton’s first solo album of 1970, or the version he recorded for a Michelob beer commercial in the late 80s. And make sure you listen to the right one. The latter recasts After Midnight as a skulking minor blues with a studio sheen reminiscent of its era.

Back Home (Eric Clapton album). Back Home is the seventeenth solo studio album by Eric Clapton. It was released 29 August internationally and a day later in the . It is his first album containing new, original material since Reptile (2001), as the previous release Me and Mr. Johnson is an album of song covers of Robert Johnson. Say What You Will" is a song that Clapton offered to the Japanese musical group SMAP.

Harrison wrote "Here Comes the Sun" at Clapton's country home; the duo toured with Delaney & Bonnie and Friends in 1969, they toured Japan in 1991 and recorded together countless times until Harrison's death in 2001. Although they had already been friends since the Beatles' "moptop" period, Clapton and Harrison never got together in a recording studio (to actually record something) until late 1967 or early 1968 during the Wonderwall Music sessions  . The album features a who's who of British rockers, all of whom provide a smooth-and occasionally gritty-backdrop for American blues legend Howlin' Wolf's booming voice. Note Clapton's Strat tone, and remember this was recorded in the spring of 1970.

Eric Clapton claimed in the press release for Back Home, his 14th album of original material, that "One of the earliest statements I made about myself was back in the late '80s, with Journeyman. This album completes that cycle in terms of talking about my whole journey as an itinerant musician and where I find myself now, starting a new family. That's why I chose the title. It's about coming home and staying home. With that in mind, it becomes clearer that the studio albums Clapton released during the '90s did indeed follow some sort of thematic logic.
