Complete your Bruckner - Münchner Philharmoniker, Celibidache collection. Bruckner - Münchner Philharmoniker, Celibidache ‎– Symphony No. 9 In Concert And Rehearsal. Bruckner, Sergiu Celibidache, Münchner Philharmoniker - The Munich Years: Bruckner: Symphony N., Rehearsal Excerpts ‎(2xCD, RE, Car).

Symphony No. 9 In D Minor: Excerpts from the rehearsals. 10. Symphony No. 11. Orchestra: München Philharmoniker. Conductor: Sergiu Celibidache. The ninth, like all the other Bruckner symphony recordings performed by Celibidache and the Munich Phil is just truly stunning and the wonderful spacious tempi do the grandeur and magnificence of this composer justice in a way no other 'maestro' comes near. Although a recording can never do true justice to the work of this genius musician it is possible to glean some of the incredible music made in the hall at these performances.

Bruckner: Symphony No. 9. The Münchner Philharmoniker have arguably given more performances of Anton Bruckner’s music than any other orchestra. A great number of Bruckner recordings led by the many legendary conductors that have worked for and with the Münchner Philharmoniker are stored in the historical archive of the MPHIL Label including magnificent pieces with Sergiu Celibidache, Christian Thielemann, Rudolf Kempe, Günter Wand and Oswald Kabasta. Sergiu Celibidache’s relationship with the M?nchner Philharmoniker lasted from 1979 until the Romanian-born conductor’s death in 1996. The Bruckner cycle is particularly well-known and acclaimed. Celibidache was Musical Director of the M?ncher Philharmoniker between 1979 and his death in 1996. No, no, no!" That's how Sergiu Celibidache describes a rehearsal: only "no," never "yes. We see him at work in 1991 with "his" Munich Philharmonic Orchestra (he was the musical director from 1979 until his death in 1996), tirelessly rehearsing each measure, each detail of the Adagio of Anton Bruckner's Ninth Symphony.
