I'm Sitting on Top of the World" is a popular song with music written by Ray Henderson and lyrics by Sam M. Lewis and Joe Young. It was published in 1925. The song was most likely first recorded by Art Gillham (‘the Whispering Pianist’), who recorded ‘I'm Sitting on Top of the World’ on 24 October 1925. Al Jolson's recording was made on December 21, 1925. Jolson sang it in the 1928 part-talkie film "The Singing Fool" and in his biographical movie The Jolson Story in 1946.

Sitting on Top of the World" (also "Sittin' on Top of the World") is a country blues song written by Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon. They were core members of the Mississippi Sheiks, who first recorded it in 1930. Vinson claimed to have composed the song one morning after playing at a white dance in Greenwood, Mississippi. It became a popular crossover hit for the band, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008.

Blue Velvet" is a popular song written and composed in 1950 by Bernie Wayne and Lee Morris.

Was in the spring, one summer day Just when she left me, she's gone to stay But now she's gone, and I don't worry Oh I'm sitting on top of the world. An' you come runnin', holdin' up your hand Can't get me a woman, quick as you can get a man But now you're gone, and now I don't worry Lord I'm sitting on top of the world. Have been days, I didn't know your name Why should I worry or cry in vain But now she's gone, now I don't worry Lord I'm sitting on top of the world
