Jackie Washington (November 12, 1919 - June 27, 2009) was a Canadian blues musician. He was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, the grandson of a runaway slave, and one of fifteen children born to his parents, Rose and John Washington. It Isn't Nice' was recorded live at Club 47, which is a legendary coffeehouse that was in the Harvard Square neighborhood of Cambridge, MA. I did the album during another money-making trip north from Mississippi where I was working for the good cause known as 'Freedom Summer'. I went as a volunteer worker and stayed there a matter of months. Jack Landrón aka Jackie Washington, February 2019.
