To explain what EelST (short form for ‘Elio e le Storie Tese’) is, we have to try to imagine what the word viral, so often used nowadays, could have meant in 1980, when the band started its activity. Did humor belong to music? Frank Zappa asked himself with an album title. Not too much, if you were a rock band. To make it more complicated, EelST could not fit anywhere: it was clear from the beginning that they could play their instruments and they enjoyed it. It was obvious they liked rock music, even if they were never missing the chance to make fun of it through a sharp humor so hard to decode. Their look wasn’t certainly the one of a poster band, despite being certainly unique and intriguing, each of them looking so different.

Yes We Can't has been added to your Cart. EELST (short form for 'Elio e le Storie Tese') have been a cult band within the Italian underground music scene for many years. Often compared to Frank Zappa for their blend of styles, sounds and their dislike of stereotypes, EELST are also often referred to as the pioneers of "musica demenziale" - the humorous, satiric Rock/Pop music. This album includes a collaboration with 5-times Grammy winner James Taylor.

Muldaur's reading of Timmy Thomas' "Why Can't We Live Together" drips with sincerity and is delivered with expert control - she's a true craftswoman as a vocalist, always resisting the temptation to over-sing. That said, Muldaur may have lost her "good girl gone bad" seductiveness of the early '70s, but what she replaces it with is far more sultry because there isn't anything here but the desire to communicate the emotional intention of these songs in her husky, deeply soulful voice.
The Yes Album is the third studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 19 February 1971 by Atlantic Records. It is their first album with guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, and their last in the 1970s to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye. The album was the first by the group not to feature any cover versions of songs.
