Emerson Lake & Palmer - Then & Now download mp3 album
Then and Now is a live album by British progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released in 1998. It brings together two separate periods of the band's career and places them back-to-back. First is the legendary California Jam performance (the "Then"), which took place at the Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario, California on 6 April 1974. Second a collection of recordings from the 1997 to 1998 reunion tour (the "Now").
The then material is from Cal Jam '74, and the now is from shows from the late 1990s. This is a good chronicle for fans of the band. It features plenty of the band's best loved and most classic pieces in great live performances. The disc showcases the talent of all three musicians, but especially Emerson who has several strong solos. Track Listing - Disc 1. Sample.
Executive-Producer – Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Executive-Producer, Technician, Remastered By – Will Alexander (tracks: 1-1 to 1-3). Producer – Keith Wechsler. Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass – Greg Lake.

Emerson Lake & Palmer - Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Lake & Palmer Emerson. Then there's Mr. Lake doing solo acoustic versions of their biggest hits "Still you Turn Me On" and "Lucky Man". Mr. Emerson does a piano improvisation that seems to go on forever, (well about 15 minutes). I don't know how this album got past ELP's Quality Control. I remember enjoying the '97-'98 shows that form the more recent part of this set, but I didn't enjoy these recordings.
Formed in 1970, Emerson, Lake & Palmer were torchbearers of the progressive rock sound and one of rock’s first super-groups. This career-spanning 3CD collection (1970-1998) showcases the immense musical talents of Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer and features tracks from all of their original albums: Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Pictures At An Exhibition, Tarkus, Trilogy, Brain Salad Surgery, Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends, Works Volume 1, Works Volume 2, Works Live, Love Beach, Live. At Nassau Coliseum ‘78, Black Moon, In The Hot Seat, Live At The Royal Albert.
