This episode discusses the possibility of life on other planets, especially Mars. The abridged version was also produced when this was originally released. This episode was released on DVD in 2004 as part of the Walt Disney Treasures line.

When released as a single in 1973, "Life on Mars?" reached number three in the UK Singles Chart and stayed on the chart for thirteen weeks.
